Because of her background as a teacher, Rosie takes an approach to childcare that parallels that of a preschool teacher. She regularly takes out story kits from the library to share with the children, and teaches common songs and nursery rhymes in both Spanish and English. She rotates her wide selection of toys so that the children are continually engaged during free play time. Rosie has high, yet reasonable expectations for the children which are effective as they mimic our own. She has made our children feel very welcome in her home, and they can't wait to go there each day.

From the first time we met Rosie, we felt the warmth and love that radiates from her personality. We had tried daycares and other day homes and we never felt at ease leaving our daughter with them. Yet, when we started with Rosie, it felt like home. She made us feel like we were leaving our daughter with someone who truly loved her.
When you meet Rosie the first thing you will notice is her joy. Rosie is always positive and happy. Her play area is a child’s dream with bright colored paint, many different toys, music, and love. Our daughter was very shy, but she settled into Rosie’s day home with ease. Rosie makes the effort to give each child special attention. She noticed our daughter loved getting stickers and she would put one on her hand at the end of the day. That sticker would not come off until bath time!
Being an educator, I care about the learning opportunities my child receives. At Rosie’s day home, the children are exposed to English and Spanish. They sing, dance, read stories, and play outside. We have noticed how much more outgoing and social our daughter is with other kids and how much Rosie emphasizes manners. We feel like there is no better fit for our family. We feel truly blessed to have Rosie in our lives and taking care of our daughter.
